Passengers from Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas were in a taxi van accident, simultaneously ashore in St. Maarten, on the day before this, June 22, 2019. Cruceros Puerto Rico posted a video displaying a bus partially submerged inside the water with the rear doorways open, with several people mendacity by of side of the street. There are reviews on social media that nearby people rescued several human beings using a small van.
There had been some lethal bus accidents related to Royal Caribbean cruise ship passengers over the years. Seven years in the past, a Royal Caribbean subsidized tour excursion bus crashed in St. Martin (at the French side of the island) and injured passengers from the Freedom of the Seas. There is no indication that the present-day twist of fate involved a tour or was arranged through the cruise line. Royal Caribbean has not stated this incident. There are no public to be had available bout any injuries to the Royal Caribbean visitors.
The Freedom to the Seas arrived not on time, leaving Port St. Maarten the day before this. The Royal Caribbean cruiser departed San Juan, Puerto R, a week ago on June sixteen, then sailed to Oranjestad, Aruba; Willemstad, Curacao; Kralendijk, Bonaire, and Philipsburg, St. Maarten.
